They had not changed the ring on it for almost 5 years and were still using the cooker on a weekly basis. They were going to wait til their next trip to Germany to get a replacement ring because they thought that's the only place they could get one. I decided to take a chance and do a Amazon search for it since they really needed a new ring because the pressure cooker was starting to leak. I was amazed that they had it but was a little skeptical that it would fit their pressure cooker since it was sooo old. I decided to purchase it anyways since it was only $10. Shipping was quick and it fit the cooker perfectly. Thank you amazon for saving my parents a trip to Germany and now they can change the ring more often. We have 6 WMF pressure cookers in all sizes and can put the meal on the table in less than 30 minutes from absolute scratch. 50% of the job is the tools!
