Product Description
The air vent/cover lock (located in the cover of your cooker/canner) automatically exhausts air from the pressure cooker/canner as you begin heating the unit, and acts as a visual indication of pressure in the canner. The small gasket must be in place for the air vent/cover lock to seal completely. Product Description
The sealing ring fits around the inside rim of the cover and forms a pressure-tight seal between the cover and the body of the pressure cooker during cooking. Presto sealing rings are made slightly larger to allow for initial shrinkage from heat. When installing a sealing ring, position it in the cover at the 12:00 position, then 6:00 position, and then at the 9:00 and 3:00 position and spread it out between those 4 points.
